We collect as little data as possible to deliver the app.
Last updated: September 8, 2025
This policy describes how Keep Score handles information when you use the app. We built the app to minimize data collection and keep your game data on your device.
There are no accounts or social features. We do not run ads or third-party analytics SDKs.
User-provided data: player names, game titles, scoring history, preferences (theme, increments, haptics/sound toggles), and any text you save in the app. This data is stored locally on your device.
Card game contributions (if you submit them): name, description, instructions, difficulty, tags, player counts, and optional attribution fields may be sent to Firebase Firestore for inclusion in the shared catalog.
Support or feedback: if you contact us, we receive the information you provide in that communication.
We do not collect contact lists, precise location, photos, microphone input, health data, or financial information.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share data for behavioral advertising.
Operate the app: store and display your scores, timers, tools, and preferences locally.
Provide content: deliver and cache card game instructions through Firebase Firestore so you can browse and read them quickly.
Improve and support: respond to support requests and maintain service reliability. Service providers (like Firebase) may process limited technical metadata (device type, IP address, timestamps) to deliver content and protect against abuse.
Saved games, preferences, and cached instructions are stored on your device using UserDefaults. Removing the app or clearing app data deletes that information.
Card game submissions stored in Firebase are retained until removed as part of catalog maintenance or upon a verified deletion request.
Support communications are retained as long as necessary to address your inquiry and maintain records, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
We do not share your local game data with third parties unless you intentionally export or share it through your device's share options.
Service providers: Firebase (Google) processes catalog content delivery and may log limited metadata to operate and secure the service.
Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud or abuse of the service.
Firebase Firestore (Google) hosts and syncs the card game catalog. Standard request metadata (IP address, device/OS information) may be processed under Google's terms and privacy policy.
Apple and the App Store handle installation, crash reporting opted into through iOS, payments (if ever added), and platform-level diagnostics under Apple's policies.
Local data relies on your device's security (passcode/biometric). UserDefaults is not end-to-end encrypted; avoid storing sensitive information in player or game names.
Data in transit to Firebase uses TLS. No security measure is perfect, and you use the app at your own risk.
You can delete games, reset histories, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.
You can limit network access in device settings; doing so may prevent card game catalog updates.
To request removal of submitted catalog content or to exercise privacy rights available in your region, contact us with enough detail to locate the data.
Keep Score is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us so we can delete it.
Data processed by Firebase may be stored or accessed in the United States or other locations where Google or its subprocessors operate.
By using the app, you consent to any such transfers subject to applicable data protection laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves or laws change. We will update the "Last updated" date and may provide in-app notice for significant changes.
Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
For privacy questions or requests, contact the developer using the email listed on the Keep Score App Store listing.
Note: This policy covers the Keep Score app only. Platform providers like Apple and network services like Firebase have their own privacy practices; please review them separately.
